Meet Protio, a proptech startup building the first investment platform for apartments in Athens. Protio was founded in 2021 and came to change the landscape of apartment disposal. Through the platform, home owners gain the ability to offer their apartments for sale, receiving an offer within just 24 hours. At the same time, private individuals have the opportunity to invest in apartments ensuring a new income, transparently and security. The apartments found on are off the market and available exclusively through the platform. The new "Rebuild-To-Rent" model proposed by Protio comes to deal with the housing crisis that dominates Europe and has social and environmental signs. By utilizing old apartments with modern technologies, through renovation and energy upgrade, Protio aims to contribute substantially to the urban regeneration of cities.
